The Best Korean Drama Bromances

The love story between a male and female lead in a Korean drama can cause overwhelming feels and emotional attachment, but what about the unwavering love between two male characters? Not necessarily in a gay way (though it sometimes might border on homosexual, and not that it's a bad thing, either), but a pure love that forms between our favorite beautiful Korean actors. Kdrama bromances aren't hard to find, but some stand out as being especially funny, sweet, long standing or passionate.

1st Bromance: Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin in School 2013

Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin
As two rough-and-tumble high school boys, Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin, blew me away. Their chemistry was on fire, and they were the only real romance in School 2013. Who didn't tear up when they decided to be friends again? What a beautiful bromance. Watch School 2013 free and subtitled on DramaFever

2nd Bromance: Joo Won and Park Ki Woong in Bridal Mask

Joo Won and Park Ki Woong in Bridal Mask
Once again, the male couple made up of Joo Won and Park Ki Woong dominated the romantic story line in Bridal Mask. It was an intense, passionate hatred that bloomed from equally intense political struggles. This bromance had no chance of ending happily. Without giving too much away, I suggest you avoid this drama if you are a happy ending junkie. Watch Bridal Mask free and subtitled on DramaFever

3rd Bromance: Kim Soo Hyun and Jung Il Woo in The Moon That Embraces the Sun

Jung Il Woo, Kim Soo Hyun, and Song Jae Rim in The Moon Embracing the Sun
OK, I know what you're thinking. They were brothers and rivals in love and blood. But, I just have to say DAYUMMMM. Kim Soo Hyung and Jung Il Woo make the most gorgeous set of prince brother I have ever seen. Their friendship and love saved their country in the end. There's not a more majestic Kdrama bromance out there. Watch The Moon Embracing the Sun free and subtitled on DramaFever

4th Bromance: Jang Dong Gun, Kim Su Ro, Kim Min Jong, and Lee Jong Hyuk in A Gentleman's Dignity

Kim Su Ro, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ming Jong and Lee Jong Hyuk in A Gentleman's Dignity
A Gentleman's Dignity is bromance ahjusshi edition. The four male leads are handsome, older Korean actors Jang Dong Gun, Kim Su Ro, Kim Min Jong, and Lee Jong Hyuk. They spoke to each other like the ladies from Sex and the City, sharing every detail of their lives and loves with witty, young-minded banter. Even through the ups and downs they faced as friends starting in high school, they stayed together, united in bro love to the end. Watch A Gentleman's Dignity free and subtitled on DramaFever

5th Bromance: Sung Joon, Kim Myung Soo, Lee Hyun Jae, Yoo Min Kyu, Kim Min Suk, and Lee Min Ki in Shut Up Flower Boy Band

Yoo Kin Kyu, Kim Myung Soo, Sung Joon, Kim Min Suk, and Lee Hyun Jae in Shut Up Flower Boy Band
Shut Up Flower Boy Band (Shut Up and Go) is Kdrama bromance Eye Candy edition for two reasons. One: Eye Candy is the name of the guys' high school rock band and two: they are some very cute haksaengs. Similar to the story of A Gentleman's Dignity, this group of boyfriends stick together even through a dark period during their brush with fame.
